Faced with an unprecedented crisis since its creation in 1997, SMADESEP asked the Union des Ports de Plaisance de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (UPACA), of which it is a member, to help it deal with the situation. The appeal for donations of equipment, useful for securing the lake's professional activity, resulted in the dispatch of three gangways and almost 150 meters of new and used chain. While the chains are now being used extensively to support the installation of temporary nautical equipment (over 6 km were ordered by the syndicat mixte this year!), the gangways will be of great use in improving access to the pontoon landing stages that are gradually being installed to replace the infrastructures that have run aground due to the lake's tidal range.
Victor BERENGUEL, who took delivery of the equipment on Thursday July 7, would like to thank UPACA for this action of regional solidarity, and in particular its President, Marc-Emmanuel QUIROUARD FRILEUSE, and its General Delegate, Véronique TOURREL. In particular, he would like to thank the organizations that made these donations possible: a big thank you to the ports (and town halls) of Cavalaire and Menton, and to the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur for the port of Golfe Juan!
