6 tailor-made aquatic events!
This stage of open water swimming in the Serre-Ponçon lake is organized by the Dauphins Embrunais club, with the support of the communes of Savines le lac and Embrun, the SMADESEP, the Communauté de Communes de Serre-Ponçon, the Office de Tourisme de Serre-Ponçon, and numerous private partners. You'll be able to discover a fast-growing discipline that requires endurance, a real sense of tactics, race management and, above all, a spirit of sharing. That's why many find it so similar to a cycling event. With its 10km event, it has even become an Olympic discipline since the Beijing Games in 2008!
2025 program :
4:00 pm: Opening of the village to the public and participants
Collection of race caps (and rescue system for the 5km)
7:00 pm: End of cap collection
SUNDAY JULY 20
06:15: Opening of the start village
07:00: Departure by boat and/or bus to the starting point in Embrun
08:00: Start of the 5 km Traversée de Serre-Ponçon OPEN with and without fins and COUPE DE France
10:30 am: Start of 1.5 km Petite Combette and 3 km Grande Combette
10:45 a.m.: Ceremony for the 5-km race
12:15pm: Start of the 500m Défi Jeunes from the start/finish village
12:30 p.m.: Ceremony for the 3 km and 1.5 km races
12:45pm: Start of the 500m Serre-Ponçon Découverte from the start/finish village
1:15pm: Ceremony for the 500m Jeunes and classification for the 500m Découverte

2:00 pm: Briefing for the 3 x 300 m Serre-Ponçon OPEN relay
2:15pm: Start of the 3 x 300m OPEN relay from the start/finish village
