Sports and Recreation Equipment Drive

The Serre-Ponçon Lake Joint Development Authority is organizing a collection of used water sports equipment from August 4 to October 16, 2026.

This is an opportunity for visitors, boaters, and professionals around Lake Serre-Ponçon to get on board with recycling.

A dumpster will be available for dropping off used sports and recreational items at the Port à Sec of the Harbor Master’s Office in Savines-le-Lac.

What items can be dropped off?
We accept windsurf boards, kites, windsurf masts, paddles, oars, kiteboards, water skis, wakeboards, helmets, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, life jackets, wetsuits, masks, and snorkels, as well as bicycles, snowshoes, and all other sports and recreational equipment (with the exception of clothing and sneakers).

If in doubt, check the list of all items accepted for this collection.

What happens to these sports items?
Equipment that is too worn out or no longer usable will be recycled or used to generate energy. Items in good condition or that can be repaired will be donated to nonprofit organizations or recycling centers to give them a second life, thereby providing people in need with the opportunity to acquire the equipment they need.
